Singling it out!
So lately i've been making my transition over to the North Star ward and its been interesting. I've met some people and its been great. But its rather hard having to make friends and all. Its like me being right back in middle school and trying to fit in. It just seems like some people aren't willing to break apart their little circles of comfort and let me in. It sucks, but then there are those who have been really nice to me. Including me in their extravangza's and what nots. I don't know... its just way different from my home ward. I think growing up is a little hard. Because I could just hang out with the Laurel class and be content but I know I should be hanging with people my own age. Hmm well hopefully it looks up. I'm in school now at the University of Phoenix taking online classes for my Psychology degree. I've just been recently thinking about uprooting to Chicago in the fall. I've always been passionate about Chicago, my first school choice was there. So hopefully everything will work out in my favor if its meant to be. I know the Lords on my side of course.
At one of my FHE nights we had a Redneck Olympic night and it was hilarious! I mean I've never encountered rednecks before so I had no clue, but we did Gator wrestling and Seed spitting and Hog calling and Roadkill tossing. It was funny.

I never actually attended a singles ward. I sometimes wish I had, perhaps I wouldn't have drifted away from the church for so long if I had. Oh well. I hope that the little cliques there open up a bit, and allow themselves the opportunity to get to know you better. It can be so hard trying to fit in, I know that for sure. Good luck with school in Chicago.
